HEAD COACH: BROOKE RUIZ
Brooke Ruiz is the esteemed dance teacher at San Tan Foothills High School, boasting over a decade of experience in coaching cheerleading. Her journey began as a key member of the varsity cheer squad at Florence High School, where her team secured state titles in both show cheer (2012) and all-girl stunt (2013).
Post high school, Brooke dedicated herself to coaching, starting with a junior rec team in Florence that competed locally and nationally for two successful years. She then moved on to coach middle school cheer at Florence K8 and junior varsity cheer at Poston Butte High School, before taking on the varsity cheer program at San Tan Foothills High School.
Under her leadership, the San Tan Foothills varsity cheer program flourished, culminating in their first-ever state title in 2018. Recently, Brooke achieved another significant milestone as a coach with a state title in the AIA Division 3 Small Game Day division in December 2023. Currently, she oversees the entire cheerleading program at San Tan Foothills High School, ensuring its continued success and growth.
Outside of coaching, Brooke finds joy in hunting, spending cherished moments with friends, family, and her son, and indulging in trips to Disneyland. She eagerly anticipates the upcoming season and all the opportunities it holds.
JUNIOR VARSITY COACH: SAVANNAH cammisa
Savannah Cammisa currently serves as a wedding coordinator at Schnepf Farms and is entering her second season as the junior varsity team coach at San Tan Foothills. Her journey in cheerleading and coaching began at Poston Butte High School, where she cheerleaded for two years and danced throughout her four years of high school.
During her high school years, Savannah volunteered as an assistant coach for the QC Activestars Cheer Team for three years, showcasing her passion for cheerleading early on. After graduating, she remained connected to the cheer community as a "Cheer Sister," maintaining her enthusiasm for the sport.
Savannah is thrilled to return to the coaching atmosphere and is eager to see what the 2024-2025 season will bring. Outside of coaching, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, traveling, indulging in shopping, and putting her skills to work as a wedding planner. :)
ASSISTANT VARSITY COACH:
EMILY SPATH
Emily Spath serves as the administrative assistant for athletics at San Tan Foothills and is entering her third season coaching at the high school level. Her coaching journey began after high school, where she coached for two seasons at Florence K-8.

Emily's cheerleading experience started in middle school, where she cheered for three years, followed by two years on a nationally competing rec team. During her four years at Florence High School, Emily was a pivotal member of the varsity cheer team, contributing to their impressive record of five state championships. Her team secured titles in show cheer in 2017, and consecutive wins in both show cheer and all-girl stunt from 2018 to 2020.

Recently, Emily collaborated with Coach Brooke to achieve the AIA State Championship in Division 3 Small Game Day. She is enthusiastic about continuing her coaching journey as a Sabercat. Outside of cheerleading, Emily enjoys embarking on exciting trips and cherishing moments with her family and friends.
